Indiegogo users will soon be able to embed their crowdfunding campaigns anywhere on the Web

Indiegogo users will soon be able to embed their crowdfunding campaigns anywhere on the Web

Indiegogo will soon give campaigners the option to embed projects hosted on its crowdfunding site anywhere on the Web. The new feature, called Indiegogo Outpost, will launch in the next few months and allow users to mirror a campaign already set up on Indiegogo’s site.

Users will be able to customize the appearance of the embed and have it appear in some of Indiegogo’s marketing materials, including email newsletters and social media. Indiegogo Outpost projects will also tie-in to the company’s existing analytics dashboard, and also integrate with third-part tools such as Google Analytics, KISSmetrics, Mixpanel and Facebook targeting.

Indiegogo is one of the most prolific crowdfunding platforms on the Web, but it faces tough competition from Kickstarter. Outpost should attract new campaigners to the site and also improve public awareness of the Indiegogo brand. That in turn should increase the number of pledges submitted for ongoing projects, benefiting both Indiegogo and campaigners alike.
