One Percent Foundation releases a white-label version of its crowdsourced giving platform

The One Percent Foundation, a foundation dedicated to helping young professionals get into philanthropy, has launched Pro Giving Circles, a white-label version of its social giving platform. The release is timed to coincide with the #GivingTuesday campaign.

Anyone can use Pro Giving Circles, though it’s specifically targeted at companies and organizations. Since it’s white-label, groups can add their own branding and use their own URL.

Giving Circle members set up a donation of 1 percent of their salary, nominate causes, collectively vet organizations and then vote for a charity. Once selected and approved, the foundation makes the donation.

Organizations banded together last year to create #GivingTuesday. I’m not crazy about the hashtag name, but it’s still nice to put things back into perspective after the Black Friday and Cyber Monday madness.
