Marketing software provider Silverpop unveils mobile SDK to help apps deliver personalized experiences

Digital marketing software provider Silverpop is releasing an SDK for developers to include its personalization technology into their mobile apps. Now companies can increase user retention by offering their customers content that is specifically relevant to them.

As is typical when using SDKs, Silverpop says that integration will take no more than 10 minutes. With the addition, developers can track in-app behavior real-time to not only display the appropriate content, but also follow up when it comes to automated emails, SMS marketing and notifications, and more.

Other features of the SDK include analytics and the ability to integrate into Silverpop’s marketing database to better understand which user installed or opened the app, completed or abandoned a goal, added profile data, or achieved a specific milestone.

Bryan Brown, the company’s Vice President of Product Strategy, says that consumers can now receive personalized marketing campaigns through mobile apps, something that wasn’t really available before — he says it previously required “long-cycle IT development”.

Similar services offering personalization capabilities include Appboy and Strands.

Silverpop’s Mobile Connector SDK is only available to customers who are a part of the company’s Universal Behaviors program.
