Newvem’s SaaS-based analytics service thus now offers visibility into Windows Azure inventory and workload usage, providing its customers with insights that may lead to improvements in terms of effective usage of Microsoft’s cloud platform.
Newvem’s offering enables Windows Azure users to visualize Windows Azure baseline usage, cost and inventory vitals, track and forecast trends, and ultimately align usage to improve margins and service levels.
Depending on who you’d ask, Windows Azure currently commands 20 percent or more of the public cloud market, and is expected to grow to 35 percent by year’s end.
The company’s founder and CEO, Zev Laderman, said:
“Our objective is to help Windows Azure users use Windows Azure better. Newvem gives you the visibility to understand what you’re using and easily helps you use Windows Azure services in line with your business’s specific goals and needs.”
Newvem was founded in 2010 and raised $4 million in Series A funding with participation from Greylock, Eric Schmidt-backed Innovation Endeavors, and Index Ventures.
