American Express will give you free money when you order takeout on Seamless.com

American Express will give you free money when you order takeout on Seamless.com

American Express has been quite tech savvy as of late. The company launched OPEN Forum, an online community for business owners chockfull of insights, advice and tools to help them manage and grow their companies [full story here]. This site provides articles from OPEN Forum editors along with staff picks from around the web. The site currently sees over a million unique business owners coming to its site each month, about double what it was last year. Additionally, you’ve likely noticed all the new AMEX powered Foursquare deals like “spend $10, get $10” that have popped up in your feed.

Today, American Express announced that it’s partnering with yet another New York City startup. This time it’s Seamless, a website for ordering delivery and takeout food, formerly known as SeamlessWeb [full story here].

The deal is simple: You’ll receive a $10 statement credit for every four orders of $15 or more you place on Seamless.com or its smartphone apps (up to $120 in statement credits now through October 31, 2012).

To be eligible for the statement credit, you must enroll in the offer here with certain Blue American Express cards and charge all qualifying purchases with the enrolled card. In the spirit of making the entire purchase experience “seamless,” the $10 credit will automatically appear on your monthly statements.

It might not be life-changing news, but it’s free money! We couldn’t not tell you.
