Samsung May Have Redeemed Itself With The Launch Of Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8

App development and mobile app developers have taken over the world as the demand for mobile apps is on the rise. Apart from mobile phones, there are big interactive mobile display units now. They are for advertisement and they run on different apps.

Most home appliance manufacturers now hire app developers to develop apps for their products. The latest lawn mowers, refrigerators, air conditioners, microwave ovens and even television sets now come with their own apps. So app developers are just smiling to the bank now. Due to the demand for app development, a lot of people are leaving their professions to become mobile app developers.

Even security equipment manufacturers are not exempted. There are several security gadgets that send alerts to your phone when there is an intrusion into any of your properties. You will receive the alert wherever you are as long as there is an internet connection.

In the bid to cash in on the demand for mobile apps, mobile device manufacturers are also outwitting one another in the production of smartphones. Samsung just launched Samsung Galaxy S8.

Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone was recently launched. As expected, it is fully packed with a few unprecedented features that make it one of the best smartphones ever. Before delving into the features, it is better to allay your fear about its battery. This smartphone does not have an exploding battery. At least, none has occurred or better put, none has been reported so far.

Instead, the phone serves as an image booster for Samsung. After the battery explosion debacle, Samsung needed to produce another smartphone that will redeem its image. As a matter of fact, Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to have laundered the battered image of the mobile technology giant.

Iris Scanner

This feature allows the user to lock the smartphone with his iris. That is not all, the feature can also be used to access the protected folders on the mobile device. It is an improvement on Apple’s idea of fingerprint scanning. Even though Samsung Galaxy S8 has the feature, it is not the only Samsung device that has the feature. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 also has the feature.

Superfast Charging

You may not appreciate this feature until when you are in a hurry to leave home and you realize your battery is very low. With Samsung Galaxy S8, you don’t have to stay at home for hours for your battery to be fully charged. With the fast charging feature, your phone will be fully charged in a matter of minutes.

Desktop Compatibility

You can connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 to your PC keyboard, its mouse and your monitor and they will function well. The facility that makes this work is the DeX Station Accessory. All the pre-installed apps on the phone have also been optimized for your Desktop experience. What a great feature. No other smartphone allows you to sync your phone with your PC.

Infinity Display

The phone has a new Infinity display that is different from other previous Samsung models. The design is innovative and sleek. It offers better feel combined with greater aesthetics.

Bixby and Google Assistant

Samsung S8 has two virtual personal assistants. This gives users two choices. Users can either use Bixby or Google Assistant. There is virtually no other phone that offers a combination of Bixby and Google Assistant.

Bixby Vision

This is the joker of it all. It is an unprecedented technology. With the feature called Bixby Vision, you can point the phone’s camera at any object and Bixby will run some information about the object. Another great function of Bixby Vision is that it can translate text into more than fifty languages instantly.

10nm Processor

Another feature that has never been seen in any other phone is the new 10nm processor chip. That is the highest capacity that has been offered by any smartphone.

Its screen size is 5.8 inch which makes it bigger than the screen of several devices. To prevent scratch or cracking on the screen, it has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen. It comes in two variants – Single SIM and dual SIM versions.

It has 1.5 meters and 30 minutes waterproof facility. Its operating system is the latest Android 7 Nougat. Samsung Galaxy S8 has 64GB internal memory and 4GB RAM. Gaming enthusiasts will enjoy these features. 4GB RAM will give users a great gaming experience. Despite its large internal memory, it also supports up to 256GB external memory. All these are coordinated by an octa-core processor.

With its 12 megapixels primary and 8-megapixel secondary cameras, it produces ultra-clear camera images that are simply out of the world. Sometimes people look better in its camera image than in reality. You will never know how photogenic you are until you snap yourself with one of the cameras of Samsung Galaxy S8.

Another feature worthy of mention is its noise cancellation facility. With this facility, you can receive calls in a very noisy environment and you will still hear your caller clearly. Your caller will also hear you clearly.

Despite all the impressive features, it does not have a radio. Virtually all smartphones have both GPS and Bluetooth facilities so there is no point talking about them. Even though iPhone lovers might argue it, this device is superior to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, it is expected that Apple will respond by launching iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus very soon.

Right now, the device comes in just five colors – Maple Gold, Coral Blue, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray and Midnight Black. Maybe more colors will be added in future. Due to its strong battery power, it offers a talk time of 20 hours and a continuous music play time of 67 hours.

In addition to all the features outlined above, Samsung Galaxy S8 offers payment convenience through its Samsung Pay facility that has been certified by both Visa and MasterCard.

Since light and ultra-slim phones attract users more, this Samsung device weighs just 155g and it is only 8mm thick. It is lightweight and it is slim despite all its impressive features. It supports all kinds of mobile apps. Its 4GB RAM will make apps load faster and also respond faster.

Like every other product, Samsung Galaxy S8 has it is few downsides. The biggest and the most annoying one is the fact that the second SIM slot and Memory card slot are the same. So, you can’t use dual SIMs and a memory card at the same time.

A 3000mAh battery may be okay for some other devices, it is not good enough to power a super-sophisticated phone like S8. The user will end up going about with its charger. One can still pardon Samsung for this considering how Samsung S7 battery debacle battered their image. They may not be too willing to go to the extreme with batteries for now. Overall, Samsung Galaxy S8 is still about the best mobile device in the market today.
