New iPhone lock screen bypass bug found on iOS 10.2, gives access to photos and contacts.

Another iPhone lock screen bypass bug has just been found as showed in a video on YouTube. It’s affecting Apple’s latest release: iOS 10.2 It’s a pretty simple bypass and everyone can use it, Apple is told to be noticed about this bug, it’s unclear when they’ll release a new update with a fix.

FaceTime and Siri
It’s necessary to have FaceTime and Siri enabled on your iPhone, and Siri should be accessible from the lock screen.
Since iOS 10, Siri is by default accessible from the lock screen, but this can be disabled (you better do this after reading this article). When your phone meets all this agreements, there’re still a few steps left before they can access your photo’s and contacts. By using Siri you can add new contacts, when you add a picture to the recently added contact you’ll have the possibility to scroll trough all the images on the device.

This is not the first time we could get access to the phone without a passcode using Siri, which also granted access to images and contacts. Let’s hope Apple will release an update for this bug a.s.a.p.
