Google’s latest VR video is a trip through the White House during Christmas

Google has created a brand new VR experience that puts you in the White House during Christmas.

The video shows off Obama’s house decorated for Christmas, which I guarantee is much more festive than your place. A voiceover takes you on a guided tour, explaining some of the reasoning behind the decorations.

The video was filmed with Google’s Jump platform; a 16-camera GoPro rig designed specifically for making Virtual Reality films. Students involved in Google’s Expedition Pioneer Program will also be able to take a trip through the White House.

If you want to check the video out, Cardboard is your best bet. On Android, simply select the ‘Cardboard’ icon in the YouTube app and slip your phone into a Cardboard headset. Google says iOS users “will still be able to enjoy the 360 degree experience” from their phone.
