Google Calendar can now show Persian calendar dates alongside Gregorian equivalents

Google today announced it has added support for the Persian calendar, Solar Hejri. As a result, you can now display Persian dates alongside Gregorian ones:

To enable the Persian calendar, go into Settings, click on the General tab, and select it as an Alternate calendar. The Persian calendar begins each year on the vernal equinox as determined by astronomical calculations and observations.
