Google launches standalone Chrome Apps Developer Tool

Google today launched the Chrome Apps Developer Tool. In short, the company has ported the developer-mode setting of the chrome://extensions tab in its Chrome browser to a standalone Chrome App.

The app offers a cleaner and easier-to-use layout, lists apps and extensions in separate tabs, lists unpacked items and installed items separately, lets developers individually update specific apps and extensions with one click, offers common actions (reload, launch, view permissions, pack, and uninstall) next to each item, and includes filters directly in the Search box. In short, a better experience for developers.
