Google Drive for Android gets lighter color theme, buttons for uploading, creating, and scanning documents

Google has updated Drive for Android with some minor but noteworthy changes. You can download the latest version now directly from Google Play.

The update actually arrived last night, but it had a rather useless changelog: “Bug fixes and other improvements.” Now we have a bit more detail: Drive for Android has three new icons at the bottom of its user interface that let you easily upload, create, or scan documents with a single tap.

The app also now has a new lighter color theme that Google claims “makes content easier on the eyes.” Lastly, Google claims it has made some under-the-hood speed and stability improvements.
