Google Street View’s Business Photos come to Canada, Ireland and the Netherlands

There’s no doubt that Google Street View is a pretty awesome way to navigate a city that you’re visiting, or even catch all of the cool stuff in your own area.

The company expanded on that idea by launching a program called “Business Photos” that allow business owners to post 360-degree panoramic tours of their establishments on top of the Street View platform. It’s an awesome way for people to get even more of a peek of something that might be worth visiting.

Until today, Google Business Photos was only available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and France, but the company has announced that due to the feature’s popularity, the program will now be expanded to Canada, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Here’s how Google describes the Business Photos program, which helps match businesses up with “trusted” photographers to take the panoramic pictures:

Through the Business Photos program, if you’re a business owner in any of these locations around the world, getting started is easy. Just hire a Trusted Photographer in your area to take pictures of your establishment at a time convenient for you. Panoramas are created using the photos, and customers can easily find the resulting panoramic images on, on Google Maps, and on your Google Places listing.

If you’re a photographer in one of the supported countries, you can sign up to participate in the program.
