Google’s Nexus S comes to AT&T on July 24th

Google’s Nexus S comes to AT&T on July 24th

The Google Nexus S will soon be available on another GSM carrier in the US, Google announced today. The flagship Google smartphone will be available on AT&T starting July 24th.

The Nexus S, aside from customizations to run on the AT&T network, retains the original specs including a 4″ Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor. The device will come with Android 2.3, Gingerbread, the latest smartphone version of Google’s OS.

This is also the first time that a Nexus device has been available on AT&T’s network. The Nexus One was a T-Mobile exclusive in the US. While the Nexus S has previously been available on Sprint and T-Mobile, the introduction of the phone to AT&T opens up the device to a customer base that should double its potential audience.

The Nexus S will be available in Best Buy stores starting this Sunday. It will be priced at $99 with a 2 year contract. you can pre-order one beginning tomorrow in-store.
