Facebook is today introducing a new Privacy Basics section to its site, serving up tips and how-tos to manage information on your account.
There isn’t all that much new in Privacy Basics, as it’s really about making it easier to find the information that matters to you, answering FAQs about unfriending, untagging, blocking and more.
Alongside the Privacy Basics section, Facebook is also proposing new T&Cs, and data/cookies policies which, according to the social networking giant, is to “reflect new features we’ve been working on.”
For example, Facebook has been testing a new Buy button for a while, bringing deep e-commerce functionality to the platform. This is addressed in the updated T&Cs. And it’s also updating its policies to explain more about location-based features, and more specifically how it garners location information based on the features you use.
