Facebook makes it even easier to wish someone a Happy Birthday

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that grab your attention and give you a smile.

Facebook has always been my crutch for remembering the birthdays of my friends and family. On the right hand side of your news feed, you get the list of that days birthdays. You click on their name, go to their wall, and you say….Happy Birthday!

Facebook has made it even simpler to wish people a Happy Birthday. And regardless of whether we needed it to be that simple or not, it is.

Now, all you have to do is click on the persons birthday and you’re shown a complete list in a small light box of all birthdays with an open box to write your birthday wish in. It’s your one stop shop for Happy Birthday wishing. This will come in handy if you have 10 friends with a Birthday on one day, and frees you up to be a little more creative with what you say.

I know people who shut down their wall on their Birthday because they’re annoyed by the constant buzzing of notifications and nonsense that gets written, but I’ve always found it a charming ritual to spam a friends wall with obnoxious things.

It’s just one of the new changes Facebook has instituted, and I’m personally enjoying the cleaner look of the Timeline style profile. Although, I still haven’t quite figured out how to navigate the news feed by hot stories and recent. I’ll get used to it though. Until then, watch out for your Happy Birthday.
