The Next Web’s developer brand, Kings of Code, is holding its fourth festival in December, with an event focusing on the latest trends, developments and best practices in web and mobile development technologies.
“This event was off the charts”
Gary Vaynerchuk was so impressed with TNW Conference 2016 he paused mid-talk to applaud us.
Besides being able to catch the last discounted early bird tickets, here are five reasons to attend.
1) Polish your knowledge – the biggest names in development
An inspiring line-up of 18 international speakers from all fields of expertise have been assembled to get you up to speed on the latest development techniques, including Socket.IO author Guillermo Rauch, Jackson Gabbard, mobile engineer at Facebook, Bootstrap’s author @fat and software engineer Vicent Martí from GitHub. Check out the full speaker list.
2) Show your skills – join the 36-hour hack battle
On December 1 and 2, the weekend before the conference, 100 developers will come together during a 36-hour long Hack Battle to build great apps and web services on top of the API’s and SDK’s of Spotify, Sendgrid and many more.
Besides having a shot at the title ‘King/Queen of Code 2012’, every team will be able to present their achievements in front of an audience and a jury. The top three winners are invited to present their hacks on main stage during the conference on Monday. Participation is free and you can sign up alone, or with colleagues.
3) Learn from the best – expert workshop sessions
Learning is great, but doing is even better. On Tuesday the 4th, leading experts will teach you how to use the latest front-end, back-end and mobile technologies during the workshop day.
Want to know how to create a mobile HTML5 application? Or always been fascinated by deploying applications with Chef? The workshop track is for you.
4) It’s a festival, not a conference!
The Kings of Code Festival brings together an exciting mix of Web and mobile, giving you access to the entire spectrum of coding and development in two full days – the mix of attendees at Kings of Code Festival is unlike any other developers conference you’ll find, and you can take your pick from the variety the agenda has to offer.
If it’s the delicious lunch and the comfy seats you’re coming for you’d be mistaken – you’ll be sucking up information and putting it to practice right away. Kings of Code is a festival, not a conference!
5) Get in for free – ticket giveaway
The Next Web has 2 full conference passes to give away to the Kings of Code Festival – we’re giving them away via the sweepstake below. You can join the sweepstake via e-mail or facebook and increase your chances of winning by sharing. Good luck!
