Finnish Internet Video Service to Shut Down

floobs_logoFinnish Internet video startup is to close down operations it has been reported.

In an email to its users the company the company said:

“Floobs Ltd has run into significant financial problems and the future of service looks uncertain,” co-founder Joonas Pekkanen said in an e-mail titled “closing down”.

We visited Floobs HQ in Finland late last year and were given the opportunity to see exactly what the company were up to. In all fairness, their modest office supplied an extremely impressive array of internet television channels as well as being used by some of the top soccer clubs in Europe and South America.

“We are trying to find a new partner who would be interested in maintaining the service but we encourage you to urgently download your videos to prevent any loss of critical data,” said Joonas Pekkanen.

It is unclear whether the entire company will be closing down or just the website. We’ve sent an email off to the team and will update once we’ve heard back.
