Unity is making the premium version of its video game engine and development platform free for all licensed PlayStation developers.
Unity Pro normally costs $1,500 or $75 per month as part of a subscription, and builds on the company’s entry-level package with additional features related to video game graphics, animation, deployment, editing and more. (For a full rundown of the differences between Unity and Unity Pro, head here.)
Developers simply need to contact their PlayStation representative to be approved for Unity’s premium software. They’ll then receive what the company describes as its “PlayStation ready” versions of Unity Pro.
