Check out the awesome work built with Cinder: the free, open source C++ library for creative coding

Cinder, a “peer-reviewed, free, open source C++ library for creative coding” started by the folks at The Barbarian Group, has emerged from its early beginnings as an internal resource into a powerful community of developers. As you’ll see below, Cinder is joining the likes of openFrameworks and Processing, and is worth a look for any developer itching to embrace their creative side.

We have to note, however, that this is by no means a tool for beginners. If you’re just getting started, Processing will be a lot more helpful. No matter what though, the work below should at least get you inspired. Take a look and then let us know your thoughts in the comments:

Mill Touch:

Planetary:

Urban Future Installation:

Ice Angel:

Cindermedusae:

A Golden Clock:

This is just a sampling of what you can do with this C++ library. For more, check out the full gallery here. You can also check out our full Design & Dev channel here.
