Jim Algie

A graduate from the school of punk, Jim Algie spent the 1980s playing, touring and recording with seminal Canadian bands, like The Asexuals and alt.country pioneers Jerry Jerry and the Sons of Rhythm Orchestra. Since the early 90s he has been working as a writer and editor based in Bangkok and roaming all over Asia. His acclaimed nonfiction collection Bizarre Thailand: Tales of Crime, Sex and Black Magic came out in 2010. His forthcoming titles include the travel book, Pocket Guide Thailand, and a collection of prize-grabbing short stories Twisted Tales from Thailand. Check out his website.
