Singapore-based tech blog Tech in Asia announced today that it is starting an online platform to connect startups and investors in the region, called Techlist.Asia.

This comes as the team noted the absence of an Asia-focused fundraising platform. “We decided that we could either worship AngelList and pray that they come to Asia, or ignore the problem, or build a funding platform for Asia. We decided to go with the third option,” says Willis Wee, founder and CEO of Tech in Asia.

Besides simply listing startups and investors, Techlist.Asia also features data on trends in Asia, such as an investment trend graph for 2013. More such related features will arrive on the platform soon, the team says.
