Uber takes its taxi service to India, starting with Bangalore

Uber takes its taxi service to India, starting with Bangalore

The rumors have circulated for a while, but Uber, the driver-for-hire service that lets you beckon a classy car with a few clicks of your smartphone, has expanded its operations to India, starting with Bangalore.

This official announcement comes in the same week Uber officially arrived in Dubai, and one week after the service arrived in China.

As with most new Uber launches, it will be in stealth ‘testing mode’ for a few weeks as they look to iron out any initial issues and settle on the right pricing model, so availability won’t be extensive at first. And if its job listings are anything to go by, it looks like New Delhi might be up next for the company.

With both China and India now in tow, the San Francisco-headquartered company is really starting to take the world by storm.
