Twittamentary logoTan Siok Siok, documentary filmmaker from Singapore, is directing a new movie about Twitter, coining the term Twittamentary with the name of the film.

The film is being created in an innovative way by crowd-sourcing with tweeters from all over the world. Their website, is collecting stories, videos, and images from twitter users all around the world, and yes you too can participate by submitting your stories and videos to the site.

Tan Siok Siok’s previous work includes the documentary Boom Town Beijing, about the people of China leading up to the Summer Olympics in Beijing. That film can be watched for free online at SnagFilms.

If you have questions regarding the film Tan Siok Siok’s Twitter handle is @SiokSiok .

After watching part of Tan Siok Siok’s previous film, I’m looking forward to see how Tittamentary turns out. At the very least it’s an interesting new way of making a film.
