SK Telecom of South Korea, had an impressive prototype Simcard demo at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona.
They managed to fit a processor, 1GB of memory for storage, and even Google’s Android OS running on the Simcard!
Imagine taking all your photos, songs, Contacts, the Android OS with all your customizations, and of course your phone number with you when you take the Simcard out of your old phone and put it in a new one. No plans were revealed for when or if they will be selling these Simcards in the future.
