Vevo now has more personalized feeds with help from Spotify and Twitter

Vevo now has more personalized feeds with help from Spotify and Twitter

Music video app Vevo is personalizing streams and adding connections to Spotify, Twitter and YouTube so you can follow bands or artists you like with ease.

The personalization begins with the onboarding process. When you sign up for Vevo, it will now ask you which music genres you like. From there, the service generates a list of popular artists it thinks you’ll enjoy.

As you use Vevo, selecting favorite artists helps the app learn how to better curate a feed for you. In real time, selecting a favorite artists affects the next set of recommendations.

Socially, Vevo now links to Spotify, Twitter and YouTube to find artists you follow on those networks. You can choose to automatically import your favorite artists to your Vevo feed, which will help with the app’s curation.

The new personalization features are launching on Android first, though Vevo plans to have it rolled out on iOS in about a week.
