Having apps active in the background is a blessing and a curse – it means the latest information is there when you launch them, but it also means your data allowance is being gobbled up.
To help find a balance, Opera has released an update for its Opera Max app on Android that allows you to get notified when apps are using data in the background and tells you exactly how much is being used.
The app has set a ceiling of 10MB for each app in a given week, so if any go above this you will receive a notification. You can then choose to immediately block the offending app.
So if you’re having trouble keeping within your data limits and your battery’s dying too quick, Opera Max might just have the answer.
Pssst, hey you!
