DJI GO brings more videography tools as it ejects Pilot app from the App Store

DJI, makers of drones you really want like the Phantom 3, have a new app available for iOS. DJI GO replaces the existing Pilot app, and brings faster video sharing, editing tools, and an explore tab for seeing what others have recorded.

The app also has a band new UI, and syncs your aerial pictures and videos to your mobile device in real-time. If you need to edit your videos, DJI has worked in color adjustments, cropping, filters and watermarks right into the app.

There’s also a forum for learning from others. In the Explore tab, you can get tips and tricks from other drone pilots and videographers from around the globe.

Those with a Phantom 3, Inspire 1 and Matrice 100 will need to update the firmware before using DJI GO. To update your drone, visit the DJI site and visit your drone’s downloads page.

Currently iOS-only, DJI says an Android version of DJI GO is “coming soon.”
