Slack gets Google Calendar integration to stop you forgetting meetings

Slack gets Google Calendar integration to stop you forgetting meetings

This might be Slack’s most useful integration yet: Google Calendar is available from today.

The integration can remind on both a group and personal level.

For example, as a team you can add a shared Google Calendar to a channel so meeting reminders are dropped there for everyone to see.

If you’d prefer reminders just for yourself, you can add your personal calendar and Slackbot will happily directly message you reminders instead.

The integration can also post calendar summaries so you (or the entire channel) can get a daily list of what’s on the agenda.

To set up Google Calendar, just head over to the integrations page.

Slack also recently announced that it had reached over 1.1 million daily active users.
