BitTorrent Sync now lets you search for folders, users and devices, tweaks UI

BitTorrent Sync now lets you search for folders, users and devices, tweaks UI

It’s been a couple of months since BitTorrent released version 2.0 of its Sync storage app to the public, and today it’s introducing a few new features for the app that should help make it a bit more useful.

First up, you can now search for folders, users and devices in your folder and peer lists. You can also now add an ‘owner’ column to see who controls which folders, while a “last transferred” column shows you any recent activity in a folder.

If you are no longer connected to a specific computer, you can hide it from your device list, while settings in the Share dialog are now remembered between sessions. Otherwise, there are few small tweaks to the engine and UI.

The updates are arriving on Windows, OS X and Linux simultaneously, and are available for both free and pro users. You can read the full changelog here.
