Social mobile payment app Venmo received an update today that will finally allow users to add two-factor authentication for added account security.
With 2FA turned on, Venmo will alert users when sign-in activity is detected from a phone or browser not previously used to log into their account. The app will then give users the option to receive a six-digit temporary code sent to their mobile number to sign in.
Once log in is successful, they can opt to add the new browser or phone to their list of approved devices.
For extra security on top of 2FA, you may also want to make your payment activities private… unless of course, you enjoy being the topic of discussion for various internet blogs and lurkers.

The update is live today on Android, iOS and Web versions of Venmo.
