Starbucks and Postmates team up for new on-demand delivery service

Starbucks and Postmates team up for new on-demand delivery service

Postmates announced today that they are teaming up with Starbucks for a new on-demand delivery service.

You will soon be able to order food and beverages through the Starbucks app and have them delivered straight to you by Postmates. The delivery service will be kicking off in Seattle in the second half of 2015.

Bastian Lehmann, Co-Founder of Postmates, told TNW:

We’re very excited about this opportunity. Postmates is extremely proud of it’s unique customer-first approach. And we’re also a company that took logistical risks to enable delivery from any place – not just a handful of places with which we were able to secure partnerships.

The  service will be available through the existing Starbucks app. You’ll be able to customize orders as much as you would at the counter. Once you’ve paid, a Postmates delivery person will collect your items and bring them straight to you.
