Back in April, we brought you news on Gig Sq., a neat new iPhone app that helps Londoners find the best live music in their locale. Today, Gig Sq. is ramping things up a notch with mobile ticketing, as it looks to “change the way Londoners discover and buy tickets to events.” For the rollout, Gig Sq. is tapping Stripe’s mobile payment platform, and gig-goers can purchase tickets with just two taps.
To recap, Gig Sq. lets you search for gigs nearby using an interactive map, or peruse a curated list of gigs – each day the team at Gig Sq. choose 10-15 of the best shows happening across the UK capital, and you can invite buddies to join you directly through the app. Now, you can buy tickets directly too.
