Shazam’s iPhone app can now listen for songs and tag them automatically

Shazam’s iPhone app can now listen for songs and tag them automatically

It’s been available on the iPad since May, but at long last Shazam has brought background auto-tagging to the iPhone.

So provided you have the app running and Auto Shazam enabled, you no longer need to dive for your smartphone and tap the enormous button in the middle of the screen. Instead, just hit the Tags option at the bottom of the screen, followed by  the Auto tab at a time that’s suitable for you.

It should prove particularly useful when you want to tag consecutive songs, for example when you’re listening to a set by one of your favorite DJs.
