Readdle has long established itself in the productivity app space, offering everything from PDF converters and printer apps, to scanners and smart calendars. Now, the company has just rolled out a significant update to its PDF Expert app for iPad, as promised just a few weeks ago.

In addition to the new iOS 7-centric ‘flat’ design sported by the newly-named PDF Expert 5, it also has a new file manager for working with files stored on the iPad, and you can drag-and-drop files anywhere using nothing but your finger.

Additionally, a new ‘favorites’ feature lets you stack frequently opened files and folders on a sidebar for easy access, while you can also attach color tags to files and folders. You can now also download documents in the background from the likes of Dropbox, while still continuing to use the app for other things. There’s a ton of other new updates too – it’s basically a brand new app.
