BlackBerry has released an update for its Messenger iOS app that brings its service to iPad and iPod Touch devices. In addition, the company has also added a new feature to invite user contacts into groups by email, enabled sharing of BBM Pins and barcodes to social networks, and added a way to tell friends about the service.
First noticed by AppAdvice.com, today’s release gives users greater accessibility to the service — you don’t need to have a data plan to use it — it will work on WiFi only devices as well.
Available now for both iOS and Android devices, BlackBerry Messenger has been downloaded by more than 10 million users.
