It’s not just you, the desktop version of Spotify isn’t working for some people

Update: Some users have gotten in touch to let us know that the mobile Spotify apps are also playing up too. 

Update 2: Spotify has said that the problem should now be resolved for all users, and was indeed related to an issue in its UK data center.

Some users of the desktop Spotify client have taken to the Web to complain that the music streaming service is not working for them.

Indeed, it seems Spotify is aware of the issues and acknowledged them via its SpotifyStatus account on Twitter, saying that it was investigating issues that are making it difficult for users to connect to its UK data center. That’s not to say that the problems are limited to UK users though.

A spokesperson for the company told TNW that engineers are working to fix the problem as soon as possible. The Web player appears to be unaffected.
