Supercell’s hugely successful free-to-play game Clash of Clans is now available on Android

Supercell quietly launched its popular mobile strategy game Clash of Clans in the Google Play store today for smartphones and tablets running Android version 4.0.3 and above. If you have an existing Clash of Clans account, you can log-in immediately and bring over your progress from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

A beta version of the free-to-play game was revealed at a community event in San Francisco late last month, but it appears to have been eclipsed rather quickly by the public release. At the time of writing, Clash of Clans is the second top grossing game in the App Store. It’ll be interesting to see whether Supercell can replicate that success and monetize the title effectively on Android too.
