Adobe has released a new public beta for the Web version of its Kuler color palette app. Headlining this update, Adobe has finally brought back the ability to upload an image and automatically extract color schemes from it.
Yes, that feature had long existed in older versions of Kuler, and finally the redesigned beta, which launched in May, has caught up to speed.
To use the new feature, simply click the camera icon on the Web interface and select an image to upload. A custom theme will be generated, and users can customize this theme by selecting different color moods, such as bright, muted and deep.
Other new additions to Kuler beta include visual tweaks, like a resizable color wheel, and small borders, which stay out of the way of your color palette.
Adobe is encouraging users to provide feedback for the new features in the Kuler forums so that it can decide whether to bring them to the main service. But before doing so, you can try the updated beta version via the link below.
