When we reviewed Cloudee’s iPhone app during its invite-only beta phase last June, we reported that the platform’s main focus was to let users easily share personal videos with a limited set of people, such as close family and friends.
To make the uploading process more convenient, Cloudee is now introducing a desktop uploader, from which users can share videos that are stored on their Mac or PC.
Earlier this month, Cloudee had also updated its iPhone app to optimize it for iOS6 and the iPhone 5 and improve its Facebook integration. Other new features include enhanced video playback.
As you can see above, Cloudee’s updated app includes simple sharing with handpicked Facebook friends. Users can also choose to post videos and collections on Facebook and Twitter, though the company insists on privacy, noting that that all videos are private until explicitly shared.
As for its new web interface, it lets users manage their profile from any browser, Cloudee says. Once they log in, they can organize the videos they have already sent to their friends. To sign up, new users can create an account via Facebook Connect.
As an extra incentive, Cloudee points out that users who are joining during the beta phase will enjoy free unlimited storage, and will still have access to all the videos they have uploaded so far when Boxee introduces premium accounts.
