Drafts, a popular iOS application for handling text, has released an iPad version, as well as version 2.0 of its iPhone app with redesigned graphics and icons and new fonts.
The app generated plenty of interest when it arrived in April for its streamlined approach to handling chunks of text on iOS. From Drafts, you can easily push writings to Twitter clients, email and other applications, such as Dropbox, Facebook and Evernote.
With version 2.0 for the iPhone, developer Agile Tortoise set out to improve the look of the app without overhauling the UI. It also features a full screen reading mode. New fonts include FF Tisa, FF Celeste Sans & Inconsolata. The update is free for existing users, or available for $1.99.
Other features new to the application include a link mode, a setting to add a delay between making new drafts when switching between apps, action sounds and integration with more apps, such as Appigo Todo, Writing Kit and Threadnote.

The new iPad version costs $2.99 and is feature-matched with the iPhone app, but with an interface optimized for the bigger screen.
Drafts is the first app on the App Store to use the Simperium syncing service, an iCloud alternative that was developed by the people behind Simplenote.
