eBay launches a sleek Mac app in the U.S.

eBay launches a sleek Mac app in the U.S.

The eBay website may be a great place to pick up a bargain or make some money, but it’s not exactly most refined of experiences. If you have an Apple computer, you have a new alternative – an official eBay app has just launched for free download on the Mac App Store.

Minimalism is the order of the day here, and you can access all the main aspects of the eBay experience via a clean and simple interface. You can: manage your active and watched sales; search the site; access your saved and recent searches; and access eBay’s daily deals.

When you click on an item, the product information pops out in a secondary column using a smooth animation.

The app is a really enjoyable and practical way to use eBay. Unfortunately, it’s currently only available in the US Mac App Store, and only supports browsing eBay’s US catalog. eBay has a habit of launching apps int he US first before expanding them to other markets, so hopefully this will be available in other parts of the world soon.
