Spending too much time on Facebook? Try Keep Me Out, a babysitter for your browser

We are all guilty of Internet induced ADD. And because of addictive sites like Facebook, Twitter, The Next Web as well as apps like StumbleUpon, it’s never been easier to get lost on the Web. Thankfully, having Internet ADD and spending too much time on Facebook and Twitter is a prerequisite for being a technology blogger. “6 windows, 5 tabs, 5 columns in TweetDeck and a phone call. All before 9am,” says our very own @BradMcCarty of his Tuesday morning.

But for those of you who have real jobs with bosses that strongly discourage you from logging hours on Facebook and The Twitters, then you will appreciate this new app “Keep Me Out“. Simply make a bookmark for the website with Keep Me Out and store it in your browser. Using the bookmark will prevent you from visiting the website too often.

“I don’t need that I’ve got the self-discipline of a… HEY LOOK VIDEO GAMES.”

– @JFalconer

The most popular bookmarks are facebook.com, youtube.com, hyves.nl, twitter.com, orkut.com, google.com, myspace.com, vkontakte.ru, tumblr.com and gmail.com. Set up is easy, simply visit the site and set your your preferences. Browsing behavior control in an app, voilá!
