PicPlz for Android gets a new UI, native camera features and much more

If you’ve been following the story, we’ve talked quite a bit about PicPlz lately. The team appears to have been hard at work building out some features and requests that its users have had and today the Android fans get the love.

As detailed in the PicPlz blog, the biggest thing that you’ll immediately notice is that there’s a completely new UI for the app. Beyond that though, PicPlz can now fully use all of your camera’s functions, including white balance and focus modes.

The new activity feed gives you an easier look at the social side of PicPlz and you’ll find a Gallery option so that you can filter and upload previously-taken photos. Finally — and I like to call this “My Granted Wish” — you can fully disable location sharing via the settings menu.

Want to play with the new features? You’ll need to grab the download from the Android Market. Give it a go. You can find many of us from TNW on PicPlz already and the social photo service is just getting started.
