AutoTagger uses facial recognition to tag your Facebook friends in iPhone photos.
Love It: Tagging is fun, but a pain. This is easy.
Hate It: Accuracy could be better.
What more is there to say, really? You can either take a picture from the app, or choose one from your camera roll. Once you have your picture, AutoTagger uses facial recognition to figure out who is in the frame. After you’ve tagged your friends, you can upload directly to Facebook from the application.
AutoTagger is built on the Face.com API. So, if you fancy the application and want to do a bit of code hacking yourself, you can easily put together your own creation.
While photo tagging is a great feature of Facebook, it’s really more difficult than it needs to be. The web interface is clunky at best, and the Facebook application isn’t much better. With a lovely simplicity, AutoTagger makes tagging a lot faster and easier than before.
A huge thanks to Orli for the heads up!
