We’re all busy. We all need a few more hours in the day. Now that I’ve gotten the obvious out of the way, here’s a quick hit on a pretty cool idea to help at least feel more productive.
Brain Shots – bite-sized books for busy people.
Cool books, condensed down to 10,000 words. You can read any of them via computer, smartphone or some e-readers. A number of them you can even listen to via smartphone or MP3 player.
The idea is that each piece will take between 3 and 5 hours to read, which is just about perfect for a tech-inclined commuter. The offerings, according to the press release, are focused differently than free Internet content.
- Authoritative Writers
- Original Ideas
- Expert Analysis
- Unique Insight
These are the goals of Brain Shots. While I might have to disagree somewhat on free content not being authoritative or original, the effect is the same. Brain Shots give you new ideas, from sources that you might not have otherwise considered. Oh, and the fact that it’s only going to take you about 3 hours during your commute doesn’t hurt either.
Brain Shots are available from the Waterstones shop, for around £5.
