Tribe of Noise gets loud to bring music pros and projects together

Tribe of Noise has been making a name for itself as an online community connecting musicians with industry professionals.

The startup, finalist in The Next Web Paypal X Startup Rally, is now launching brand new search tool to promote further collaboration.

Based in the Netherlands, Tribe of Noise has created a social network which connects musicians with organisations looking to find good quality music content for a wide variety of projects.

The Next Web 2010 Hessel van Oorschot and Sandra Brandenburg, the team behind, Tribe of Noise, were getting frustrated trying to find great rock music – as opposed to stock muzak – to be used as soundtracks to a number of their projects in the video production industry.

They saw great social communities such as Flickr optimising the way in which professionals source beautiful images by getting in contact directly with photographers around the world.

In response, the team created Tribe of Noise in order to streamline the production process and provide easy access to pre-cleared music and talented musicians.

Since the service launched, advertisement agencies, television production companies, game and mobile app developers have all used it and it now boasts 6,500 composers and musicians, many established, several award-winning and all keen to collaborate.

Announced today at The Next Web conference in Amsterdam is the pre-beta launch of Tribe of Noise PRO, a brand new tool enabling users to search & find pre-cleared and pre-priced music online combined with a virtual briefing center.

The music shared on Tribe of Noise is all Creative Commons 3.0 By Share Alike
licensed (copyleft instead of copyright) enabling musicians and professionals to start sharing content on all kind of distribution channels including tv, internet, mobile and gaming consoles.
