Foursquare Lets You Tell Facebook Where You Are

Foursquare Lets You Tell Facebook Where You Are

foursquare_logo_girlThe popular mobile app Foursquare has enabled sharing your location not just Twitter and other Foursquare users, but to Facebook as well.

Mashable is reporting that “Foursquare’s new Facebook integration currently only works for BlackBerry and Android devices (and via mobile web), but it will be supported once version 1.4.3 of the iPhone app is approved by Apple (the app has already been submitted for approval).”

The app store continues to be as bad as ever. I have to say, it makes more sense to me to have Foursquare on Facebook than Twitter. The people who I am friends with on Facebook tend to be much closer personal friends, compared to Twitter, which is a bit of a free for all.

To use the app, you have to allow it via Facebook Connect. You can choose what type of updates you want to go to Facebook, perhaps only when you become the mayor of a location for an example.

For the 150,000 Foursquare users, have fun.
