Twitter has just pushed an update that see’s the site now available in five languages; English, Japanese, Spanish, French and now Italian.
The move is the third stage of a push to get Twitter into as many languages as humanly possible. I say humanly on purpose as the entire translation process is being open sourced.
In its announcement about the launch, Twitter says
“And what better way to celebrate the launch of Twitter in Italy but with a nice Tweetup-based pizza. Our friends @pizzatwit will be happy to organize a pizza party and if you want to meet lots of new friends and Tweet all night, you should follow their account and help them to organize one of their famous Twitter Pizza Parties! “
To see Twitter in Italian, visit your settings and select “Italian” from the menu.
