Want to know how to federate with Google Wave? We’ve got the complete guide!

communicationYou could very well have called this week Google week!

Earlier last week we shared Google’s plans to open up their much anticipated collaboration platform Google Wave with you.

After a slight delay it finally became reality and a few days later software tycoon Novell Inc. announced broad integration support for the platform.

Now, we are not exactly known for in-depth technical tutorials, and this is not going to change. We do, however, follow up on emerging technologies that might very well help shaping the next web.

The <3 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

We’ve therefore asked our very own Ralf Rottmann, sort of a Google Wave connoisseur, to check out the federation hype and set up a Google Wave server that interconnects with their official sandbox infrastructure.

His journey resulted in a detailed step-by-step guide which you might find helpful in case you’re planning to try out federation on your own.

Feel free to leave your Wave Sandbox, Wave Preview and your own Wave Server account in the comments, so other readers can catch up and wave along!
