Appsfire a service built to show off and share your favorite iPhone apps has announced a contest called the App Star Awards to take place on the 9th December at the Le Web conference.
In partnership with SFR/AppliStore and LeWeb, the contest aims to find the hottest apps that have not yet made it into the App Store just yet. We’re not talking apps that require jailbreaking, but legit apps that may still be in development but aim to soon find their way into the app store.
So if you have an app in development, submit a clip of 30 secs on Youtube with a demo. Apps Fire will select 30 of the best (10 in each category: games, entertainment, utility and other) and the Jury members (who include yours truly) will review each one and point to 3 winners.
Three winners, one in each category, will get a check of $1,500 and a free ad campaign with participating partners.

The results will be announced on stage at LeWeb in Paris on December 9th. AppsFire is currently taking pre-registrations on the site, but submissions will open on November 23 – full details appear on a blog post here.
